A 17-year-old boy was ordered held on bond this afternoon after he used a paintball gun to rob two younger boys in the McDonald’s on the Chicago Skyway. according to police and prosecutors.
The incident happened Sunday at a McDonald’s restaurant in the 4000 block of East 106th Street about 6:30 p.m., said Chicago Police News Affairs Officer Veejay Zala. The restaurant is the McDonald’s on the Chicago Skyway, 4047 E. 106th St.
Lamar C. Lewis was ordered held on $25,000 bail and charged with armed robbery, police and prosecutors said.
Lewis was with at least two other people when they used what was believed to be a paintball gun to rob two 12-year-old boys.
Lewis and the other two attackers were in the bathroom of the restaurant and confronted one of the two 12-year-old boys. They struck the boy, threw him to the ground and began going into his pockets, police said.
The offenders took the boy’s phone, iPod and money and left. They robbed the second 12-year-old in another part of the restaurant.
Two people witnessed the attack.
