Hi, I’m Amelia! This fall, I’ll be a senior at Maine South High School. I come from a relatively small family; I have one older brother who’s currently a junior in college. As the younger sibling, I’ve grown used to looking up to my brother for advice.
I enjoy traveling and outdoor activities such as kayaking and hiking. Whenever my family goes on vacation, we always try to spend most of our time outdoors. At Maine South, I run cross country and play the violin in the school orchestra. When I’m not at school, I’m usually hanging out with friends or re-watching episodes of “The Office” on Netflix.
My “thing” is thrift shops – I love finding unique clothing and vintage accessories! Some of my favorites include The Brown Elephant, where I’ve found everything from a $5 bubble lamp to a pair of roller skates, and Store B Vintage, which has clothing and jewelry from the ’30s through ’70s.
You’ll find me writing about events and news from the Maine South community, as well as current activities within my hometown. I’m looking forward to giving people a sense of what’s going on in Maine South’s clubs, sports teams and classes!
