Every year, Hinsdale Central plans Red Ribbon Week in time for Halloween. Each day, stickers, candy, and other small treats are handed out, with clever reminders to avoid drugs. This year, the week ended with a day to wear costumes to school. There were many creative costumes, but I spotlighted a few of my favorites below!
A traditional scarecrow costume
A minimal effort Aladdin
My favorite: Ms. Frizzle from Magic School Bus
She’s actually shadowing a teacher at an elementary school and gave her students this treat! Fun fact: Her last name is Frizzel, so this made for a perfect costume.
And lastly, the classic best friends costume, Thing 1 and Thing 2
Despite Halloween being on a Saturday, teachers and students brought their most creative costumes, with the Science Department dressing up as Words with Friends and the classic Netflix and chill costume, Central knows how to do Halloween.
