Prom night is the most notorious night of high school. Students (especially upperclassmen) tend to blow off the annual dances, such as homecoming or formal, because they become too repetitive. But prom is special. To me, it felt like every senior from HPHS was in attendance, even people I had never seen before. For one night, the entire class united together outside of school and celebrated the end of an era.
HPHS traveled in style on coach buses all the way down to the Shedd Aquarium. The Shedd has a magnificent patio that overlooks the entire skyline of Chicago, providing prom night with its “magical” ambiance. Students observed the aquarium’s many creatures, were invited to pet some fish and of course danced the night away.
